Golf Swing Drills And Golf Instruction That Will Improve Your Golf Game

The only difference between this drill and the Knees Drill is that you are standing up. Turn your upper body around a right post and then turn your body to your left post, facing the target when you finish. Your knees, hips and shoulders should all face the target. During the turn back, you should feel how the upper body is turning around a firm lower body – a coil. On the through swing the lower body leads, creating more of a coil, and everything finishes in balance on the outside of the left foot. This drill should be practiced in front of a mirror, checking. That the spine or head does not move up or down That the body is shifting in balance to the right post then to the left and, That the body is coiling not just turning all together.

A great golf stance should be about as wide as your shoulders what should be wide is the feet placement. Make sure your shoulders are aligned at your target because this will gibve you the best target. Point your right foot straight ahead and point your left foot slightly to the left. Keep your elbows as natural as possible to maintain a proper golf stance. This will help fix golf swing slice.

Even minor adjustments to your stance can make major changes in where your golf ball will end up. You have to make sure that you practice your swing and then you will get tho where you need to be.

1. When you have a divot take a look at the angle. If it goes left of your target then you are coming across. There are different reasons why you are doing this.

2. This could be because you are standing to close to the golf ball. If you are confused about this then you should let your arms hang down loose, and that is the desirable distance from the ball. The club head should be flat on the ground when you address the ball.

3. Check your grip especially if your right hand is in the wrong position. If this is the case move to the left more.

4.When you start the backswing make sure its straight, or slightly to the inside, and do not snatch the top of the swing.

With your grip and setup correct and a properly grooved inside to square swing motion your other main focus should be a proper release of the club through impact. Remember that we said that as your club approaches the ball on the downswing, the back of your left hand faces more toward the sky. At contact you it faces the target. During the follow through, it starts to face more toward the ground.

A drill I learned a long time ago to encourage proper release. On the range, grab your seven iron. You’re going to hit some mini shots. For each shot, only take the club back far enough so that the shaft is parallel to the ground. The toe of the club should be pointing straight up in the air, and the butt of the club should be pointing at the target. Your wrists should begin to cock, but not completely.

Golf Instruction

By adjusting your golf grip correctly, you can help cure a slice quickly. The proper grip will have your left hand and your thumb along the shaft. It should line up pointing toward your right eye. Next, wrap your right hand over your left and be sure your right palm is sitting over your left thumb.

Another common problem is gripping the golf club tightly with your right hand. This will cause you to hook the ball. On the flipside, a weak grip will keep the clubface open and cause you to slice.

To correct your golf slice that is caused by a weak grip is to roll your hands back so that your weaker back hand faces the target and your stronger back hand faces in the opposite direction. This grip will eliminate your slice.

What Are The Best Golf Clubs To Get?

With the technology of golf clubs on the rise, With the increase in technology these new golf clubs could even improve you game, whether you are seeking increased power, accuracy, or forgiveness. If you have a lot of flaws in your swing you will see that new clubs will not help. Your new golf clubs can only help what you already have established.

If you are looking to improve your swing then you don’t need to get the most expensive golf clubs but you will need good ones. Unless you stand over 6 feet or under 5 feet, standard-size clubs should be correct for most men and women. Men’s clubs are generally 1 inch taller per club.

Your biggest consideration is the golf club shaft they are composed of steel or graphite. While steel shafts are more durable, generally less expensive, and offer more control, they require a faster swing to generate longer distances. If you are looking for new clubs take a look at my recommendations.

Fix Your Swing Click Here!

Keep in mind that the main differences between mens and womans clubs are found with clubs purchased off the shelf at sporting goods stores and in major golf stores. This is interesting because it says a lot about how golf club companies view women golfers in comparison to the male golf enthusiast. The way in which women’s golf clubs are designed shows that golf club makers make the club as if the woman golfer swings slower, and therefore as a result require clubs that contain greater loft and the golf shafts are more flexible.

There are a few things that you can do to make sure that you are finding the right clubs. Remember that when you look for golf clubs, you are going to be presented with all sorts of different clubs and choices. Today’s golf clubs are made up of lots of different materials, and also come in all different shapes and colors. Simply because the traditional size and shape of woman’s clubs are sold as a woman’s club does not mean that you will necessarily need to buy that particular golf club style.

If you are a woman or male golfer always adhere to your personal preferences and needs. This will have some great clubs for you.

Replacing a putter grip should be done once a weeks it is much cheaper to replace grips then to replace the whole club. The correct golfing grip cannot be achieved using a worn out item and bear in mind that a golfer’s own grip must be comfortable and has, almost, as much influence on his own game as his stance and the putter head shape.

A normal swing is used for most shots until the green is reached, and either woods or irons may be used. The golfer adjusts his stroke to fit the circumstances of the play such as distance to the green, lie of the ball and location of the hazards. The face of the club starts on, or close to, the ground square to the target line. For the right-handed golfer It consists of a back swing to the right shoulder, a forward swing back to the middle, and a follow through to the left shoulder and vice-verse for the left-handed golfer.

The chip is a type of shot generally used from short range around the green. Although any club may be used, and there are specialist chipping clubs available, a short iron or wedge is most common. The goal of the chip is to land the ball safely on the green and let it roll out towards the hole.

Slicing happens when a right handed golfer hits the ball so it has a horrible curve to the right and causes a left handed golfer to the left, or a left handed golfer hits it so it curves to the left. As any reasonably knowledgeable golfer will tell you, the slice is the result of going across the ball with an inside outside swing swing. As the club sweeps across the ball, the club strikes the ball in a slightly open position. This action puts side spin on the ball and as it moves through the air it curves to the right. The ball curves away from the field towards the foul line. This slicing action also happens in other sports where a bat or racket is used to strike a ball – sports such as tennis, ping pong, tennis ball, and cricket. And even in sports where simply throwing the ball with clockwise spin makes it curve to the right – think of bowling, lawn bowling and curling for example.
